Reinforcing A Sense Of Place

Fairmont Waterfront

A world-class luxury hotel in Vancouver, the Fairmont Waterfront is located along the city’s dynamic harbour. Offering high-end comfort and service, breathtaking West Coast views, and easy access to all the best the city offers, guests at the hotel indulge in the best experiences whether visiting for work or pleasure. CHIL Interior Design, the hospitality studio of B+H, worked on the complete renovation of all guestrooms, guestroom corridors, the Gold Lounge, fitness facility, and the ARC Restaurant—the hotel’s existing eatery.

The guestrooms at Fairmont Waterfront incorporate two unique colour schemes—one for the Fairmont rooms and another for the Gold rooms. Guestrooms feature a colour palette that speaks to the rich and varied West Coast landscape. Crisp and neutral creams, golden caramels, and warm browns are accented with soft blues reflecting the natural local scenery. Bathrooms have been elegantly remodeled with well-appointed rain spa showers, rich dark wood furnishings, and tiled entryways.

The hotel’s design concept creates a strong sense of place. Luxurious fabrics and timeless detailing communicate contemporary elegance, while a warm, regionally-inspired colour palette, local photography, and natural stone materials reflect a West Coast feel that sets the hotel apart from the two adjacent Fairmont properties. Within the ARC Restaurant, the redesign creates a new and engaging lounge with a more centralized bar for a relaxing and entertaining experience. Bold material choices produce a warm and contemporary feel. The restaurant was transformed to compliment the new menu and offer a distinctive dining experience for Vancouverites and visitors.
