Reporting to Director, and/or Principal, under management of Team Leader.

The Team Member’s duties are to assist the Team Leader for the delivery of all working information pertaining to the projects he/she is assigned to.

They have non-managerial responsibilities however are expected to contribute to the performance of their team and manage their own time responsibly to help ensure the works meets the expectations of B+H and their Clients.

Specific Position Responsibilities

  • Assist the Team Leader / Architectural Managers to produce technical drawings for all Architectural project.
  • Assist with coordination with external consultants and internal project teams.
  • The Team Member is required to assist the Team Leader with the delivery of work packages tasked to them.
  • The Team Member should work under guidance to learn and understand requirements of the contract documentation, life safety issues, building codes and other technical aspects; they are required to develop an understanding of architectural drawing and detailing, and technical aspect therein, contract administration and business practices of B+H.
  • Prepare and assist with construction documents including specifications
  • Manage own time in relation to project deadlines and client requirements.
  • Provide back-up assistance to other members of the Architecture group.
  • Assist senior management in the development of new business opportunities.
  • Manage own time in relation to project deadlines and client requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum Degree or diploma level entry as an Architect or an Architectural Technologist.
  • Understand the basics of the design process and architectural production works
  • Ability to follow management team direction and produce architectural information to B+H standards.
  • Time management skills required to carry out own works in a responsible and timely manner.
  • Professional, client service oriented and positive representative of the firm
  • Understands the working of an office and act in a manner the ensure safety of themselves and their colleagues
  • Ability to communicate in English both verbally and written.
  • Software/Technology: Revit 2017 (ACAD 2015 an asset), 3D Software knowledge preferred (Sketchup or 3DsMAX), Microsoft Office 2003 (including Excel), Presentation Software (Image Ready, Power Point or Photoshop).
  • Knowledge of Provincial Building Code an advantage.
