Simon is a Registered Architect in Hong Kong and Canada with extensive experience in cultural and super high-rise projects, including the M+ Museum, the West Kowloon Cultural District Master plan in Hong Kong, and 500m and 518m towers in Jinan and Shenzhen, respectively. He has also designed and managed high-profile mixed-use developments as well as institutional, transportation, and high-density master planning projects in North America, Europe, and Asia. With interests in functionality, materiality, and user experience, Simon’s design philosophy emphasizes placemaking contextual response, adding value for the client and public. His design always infuses sustainability by marrying innovative solutions with passive principles while maximizing social, economic, and cultural benefits.
Since joining the B+H Hong Kong studio in early 2021 as Design Director for Greater China, Simon has been instrumental in the design leadership of the Shenzhen Natural History Museum working with the teams both in Shenzhen and Hong Kong. He has also been heavily involved in significant design competitions in the Greater Bay Area such as the Bay Area University and the recent submission of Georgia Tech Shenzhen Institute.
