How has the Surbana Jurong Group invested in you?
I have participated in several leadership programs organized by SJG, especially the Annual Leaders Forums held in Singapore and other regions, enabling me to build connections, exchange management experiences, and explore collaborations with other regional leaders. In addition, I have opportunities to access reputable media in Shanghai, enlarging my influence and enhancing the Group’s reputation in the industry through featured interview articles. SJ has provided me with the opportunity to develop my leadership skills in a larger global platform spanning many businesses and regions.

How have you enabled the development of other women you work with?
I find great satisfaction in seeing some of our women leaders in our Greater China studios whom I have mentored over the years grow in their confidence and step up to be exemplary leaders. I actively participated in and led women empowerment programs. I initiated various International Women’s Day studio events, engaging the younger female generation to share their insights as architects and designers in a male-dominated industry.
My speaking engagements at The Singaporean, Canadian, and Malaysian Chambers of Commerce events in Shanghai also highlighted our efforts in facilitating gender equality. I am proud to be part of the company’s leadership that promotes Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion, resulting in B+H being shortlisted as the Best SME for the Advancement of Women by Women Empowerment Awards in 2023.
