Talent Spotlight: Jenica Lee

International Women's Day 2026

3月 8, 2026

This International Women’s Day, we’re proud to spotlight the women shaping CHIL’s vision and culture through empathy, collaboration, and thoughtful design.

We sat down with Jenica Lee, Senior Interior Designer, to talk guest experience, inspiration, and supporting women across the industry.

Hospitality is about authenticity and empathy. How do you think your perspective as a woman shapes the way you approach the design of a guest experience?

As a female avid traveller myself, I’m always looking for those memorable details and moments within a hospitality space, and I’m always thinking about how to create those moments in spaces that I design.

If you could check into any hotel in the world tonight (one you didn’t design!), where would it be, and what would be the most exciting to experience?

I love a spa day, so I think I would love to check-in to the Fairmont Lake Louise and check out their new wellness spa, Basin. The design looks incredible and being able to relax and recharge while being surrounded by built and natural beauty would be the ideal day for me.

In the male-dominated world of construction and site management, how do you ‘give’ your support to other women in the room (architects, contractors, or clients) to ensure their voices are heard and respected?

I always jump at opportunities to work directly with other women on consultant teams when I can. I always prefer to jump on a quick call to discuss items outside the main discussion as I find that it helps strengthen the team dynamic and produce effective solutions much more efficiently.
