To say Kevin Hinchey, a Senior Project Manager in our Toronto studio, is community-minded would be an understatement of gross proportions. Throughout his life he has volunteered for a myriad of causes, from Special Olympics events, to the Big Brothers Big Sisters Association, to coaching the hockey and softball teams of his two daughters. Kevin believes in giving back, and in the power of community to improve the world. This can be tied to his deep love of team sports, himself having played competitive softball for nearly 35 years. From sports he has had to understanding of the power of teamwork, collaboration, and encouragement instilled in him, and he brings this to his work.
Kevin is a dynamic team leader who believes everyone has something to offer a project, and believes deeply in mentorship and providing more junior teammates the chance to grow and expand with the help of gentle guidance. He approaches his work with an organized and structured manner, but leaves room for flexibility and adaptation. What’s important is to understand what the ultimate goal is, and the more quickly a team can come together to define that the easier the process will be.
Kevin’s professional love may be building things, but it is clear his life passion is people. From sports, to community, to his family, as well as the work he does, building relationships is at the core of his motivation. This has allowed him to thrive in his career, and become an exceptional leader in his field.
