Jasper, Alberta is known for its quiet atmosphere and breathtaking beauty. It was this essence which inspired the design of the lakefront log cabins of the historical Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. World renowned for its 700 acres of pristine trails and glacier fed waters, this luxury hotel provides guests with a majestic setting in which to reconnect with nature and one another, surrounding themselves with beauty and reawakening the senses.
The cabins needed to embody the same sense of nature, reconnection, and reawakening of the senses as the landscape they sit upon. This is achieved by creating a sense of place through the colour palette of deep greens and caramel tones infused with bronze accents taken from the surrounding landscape. Modern interpretations of traditional plaids, rich textures and natural materials provide warmth and comfort throughout the seasons, inviting guests to cozy up together and truly connect. Features of wood ceiling beams, along with custom millwork throughout the open living and dining areas, bring the cabin’s interiors in harmony with its rustic exterior. Tailored details such as lush fabrics, high-end finishes, and indulgent amenities provide the level of sophistication that visitors have come to expect at this historic destination.
After an outdoor adventure filled with the scent of pine and earth and the feeling of fresh, crisp air guests are welcomed back to their cabins by the warmth of a crackling fire. They can truly enjoy the pampering mountain lifestyle the hotel is known for thanks to a balance of the contemporary and the classic that creates restful and luxurious dwellings for family gatherings and romantic getaways alike.
The design creates the quiet luxury and updated yet quintessential cabin atmosphere desired to create authentic and memorable moments that will have guests returning for years to come.
