Located in Wusongkou, Baoshan, Shanghai, adjacent to the Shanghai Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal, Asia’s largest cruise home port, the Sea World Shanghai project is a collaborative development by Greenland Group and China Merchants Group.

This mixed-use development features approximately 66,000 square meters of waterfront tourism retail, 38,000 square meters of Grade A river-view offices, 25,000 square meters of family vacation apartments, and a Cordis Hotel.

The project signifies a significant urban renewal effort, transforming Wusongkou’s former industrial and dock shoreline. It marks Baoshan’s shift from a steel manufacturing-based economy (“steel flower”) to a cruise-centric one (“wave flower”), driving innovation and industrial restructuring.

The project’s overall design, described as a “land cruise,” integrates functions such as office spaces, shopping, entertainment, and vacation experiences, reflecting its connection to the Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal.

It aims to provide a high-quality living and leisure destination for the northern area of Shanghai. Additionally, this high-end urban complex is rooted in tradition, oriented toward the future, and characterized by innovation, serving as a successful example of urban renewal in Shanghai.
