What makes a successful team? I believe a team is successful when there is mutual respect between all members and everyone’s contributions and skill sets are valued. Open communication and collaboration allow for diversity of thought which leads to quality team decision making. I also believe that giving positive and meaningful feedback allows for building a strong and cohesive team.
Do you have any words to live by? Have faith in yourself, doubt has killed more dreams that failure ever has.
If you weren’t in my current position, what would you be working as? A social worker; I believe that we have a duty to give back to our communities and people in need.
Do you have any advice for young women just starting out in their careers?
Know your worth and believe in yourself. Surround yourself with good people; people who inspire. Cultivate meaningful relationships and welcome mentors who can offer new perspectives, give you good advice, challenge you and be there to uplift you.
