B+H Architects is currently seeking a Contract Administrator to join our dynamic and progressive healthcare team based in our Toronto Studio. As a Contractor Administrator (Healthcare) will work closely with our leaders and project team, while overseeing communication, documentation, drawing submittals, contracts, schedules and site functions. The ideal candidate is keen to be an active participant in mentorship and take part in the continual growth and development of themselves and team members.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage on-site contract administration services and act as primary point of contact between clients, contractors and project managers
  • Conduct site inspections to ascertain project adherence to contract documents and relevant building & safety codes; prepare any necessary associated documentation and communications
  • Identify any deviation from contract documents and work with key stakeholders to resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Manage documentation process and coordination to support modifications
  • Prepare reports on project process/progress, and construction & detailing issues
  • Work with project managers and design team to deliver exceptional client services, manage client expectations, and ensure client satisfaction & project success

Required Skills and Experience

  • Post graduate education in Architecture or Architectural Technology is an asset
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a technologist in an architectural firm with a focus on Revit based projects and CA
  • Other graphic software such as Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D rendering programs is an asset
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
  • Working knowledge of current industry standards, building codes and building science
  • Certified Construction Contract Administrator and/or LEED AP- LEED certification is an asset
  • Positive attitude, passion, and patience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required
