Our approach centers on crafting a building that is influenced and directed by its surroundings. In this undertaking, a forward-thinking client aspired to create a structure that would enhance a 200-hectare forest, serving as a private wellness retreat for an adjacent development lacking public amenities.
Teaming up with architects B.Mondo, the client enlisted the collaboration of B+H Biomimicry to delve into the Living Story of the location, leveraging biomimicry to inspire the design of a 900m2 facility. The goal was to understand the opportunities, obstacles, principles, and key narratives of the forest ecosystem, ultimately fostering the development of a more resilient and harmonious design.
