Welcoming Our 2026 Summer Intern Cohort
We’re excited to welcome our 2026 summer interns to our architecture and interior design studio in Toronto. This year’s cohort brings diverse perspectives, strong academic foundations, and a shared interest in thoughtful, human-centred design.
Yichen Wei, a Master of Architecture student at the University of Waterloo, joins us with a growing focus on computational design.
As Yichen shares: “I was interested in joining B+H as an Architectural Intern because I had already known about the firm during my previous work experience in Shanghai and always saw it as a strong international design practice. Through my exploration of parametric design and computational workflows, I’ve developed a strong interest in early-stage conceptual design, and I felt B+H would be a great place for me to continue learning and growing.”
Treya Vyas, currently completing the Master of Architecture (AP) at the University of Toronto’s John H. Daniels Faculty, was drawn to the firm’s culture and opportunities for growth.
As Treya notes: “What drew me to B+H is their robust project portfolio, mentorship opportunities, studio culture and professional growth.”
Elina Kutubaeva, a Bachelor of Interior Design student at Toronto Metropolitan University, was inspired by her first interaction with our studio.
She shares: “During a firm tour last year, B+H immediately stood out to me. The studio atmosphere, the genuine way people interact, and the overall culture felt open, welcoming, and inspiring. Beyond that, B+H’s work consistently reflects a thoughtful and creative approach – designs that feel intentional and human-centred, transforming commercial spaces into environments that are inviting, intuitive, and meaningful.”
Returning to us for the summer, Esteban Poveda Torres, a Master of Architecture student at the University of Toronto, brings previous experience with the firm.
As Esteban reflects: “Before pursuing my master’s, I worked at B+H for a year and a half, so applying to return for the summer felt like a natural choice. The people, mentorship, and opportunity to contribute to exciting, impactful projects really set B+H apart. I was genuinely excited to return to a workplace that not only fosters professional growth, but is also at the forefront of innovative architectural design in Canada.
We’re looking forward to supporting their growth and learning from the ideas and energy they bring to our studios this summer.
