Located in the west part of Wuhan, the three-storey LIVAT Wuhan Centre is easily accessible via subway and two major city highways. A key destination for the 8.6 million residents in the area, the centre is located close to the city core and was designed as a one-stop regional mall complete with over 400 stores. A wide range of retail and entertainment options are available including a department store, hypermarket, international and local retailers, restaurants, cafes, electronics and sports stores, cinema, and additional entertainment venues.
Working in collaboration with design architect BDP, we were responsible for the design development and construction documents for the architecture, in addition to the design and development of the design concept for the interior design and landscape from concept to completion. The centre’s main anchor is IKEA and as such, is built to the highest international standards. It features elements of Scandinavian design including the incorporation of natural light and water as well as a focus on sustainable features and reduced environmental impact. Featuring an ice rink, the entertaining atmosphere created at the centre and throughout its exterior space makes it an ideal meeting place and a perfect destination for a full day of shopping or leisure time with family or friends.
